The Native Plant Garden Tour, put on by the High Desert Horticultural Center, invites visitors to a celebration of the resilient beauty and ecological importance of Central Oregon’s native flora. With 9 residential and 4 public gardens in the tour this year, visitors can enjoy the appeal of our native plants and find inspiration for their own gardens.

Join us for this 60-minute Vinyasa yoga class set against the serene backdrop of Elk Lake in Central Oregon. This inclusive all-levels practice invites everyone, from first-time yogis to seasoned practitioners, to experience the harmonious blend of movement, breath, and nature. Sunflower Pointillism Workshop (Teen Class) 🐞🎨 Drop your teens off for 45 minutes of creative fun with Ms. Alyssa as they learn about pointillism. Perfect for your tweens and teens. Ages 11 to 14. Let your teen’s imagination take flight in this fun, hands-on Pointillism Workshop with Ms. Alyssa! During this class, your teens and tweens will design and create their own unique sunflower paintings using new techniques. Perfect for tween and teen students, this class encourages creativity, builds confidence, and gives your child the freedom to explore art in a supportive, joy-filled environment. Drop them off, enjoy a little quiet time, and pick them up with a masterpiece.

This is an annual fundraiser to continue to provide care and maintenance to the rescued horses, mules and mini’s. All proceeds go towards the rescued animals. Your ticket includes; an educational tour of the facility and meet the herd. Photo opportunities, games and activities for the kids, live music, silent auction and raffles. You will be able to choose your cord color and bead design on the day of the workshop. Included with your ticket: All materials, a step-by-step instruction guide to take home, your completed wall hanging, and a complimentary glass of wine, beer, or sangria.

Join Ponderosa Players for the musical comedy, ONCE UPON A MATTRESS, an uproarious update of Hans Christian Andersen’s “Princess and the Pea” that will have you laughing all night long! ONCE UPON A MATTRESS centers around the story of Prince Dauntless, a prince whose impending marriage spoils the nuptials of the entire kingdom. His mother, Queen Aggravain, has forbidden anyone from marrying until she finds a worthy Princess for Dauntless. Of course, there is no one worthy enough to be found. Until, that is, Princess Winnifred the Woebegone splashes into the kingdom. Hailing from the swamps, “Fred” is far from the demure princesses of yore. Covered in seaweed and ready for love, she quickly captures Dauntless’s heart, much to the chagrin of Queen Aggravain. A parade of antics ensue, ending of course with Winnifred atop a tall stack of mattresses with a tiny pea underneath.
